Privacy Policy

Effective July 11, 2026

The short version: Vault collects no data. There is no Vault account, no Vault server, and no analytics. Everything the app knows about you lives on your device and nowhere else.

What Vault stores, and where

Vault keeps the following on your device only, in the app's local storage: your first name and onboarding answers (like your daily screen-time estimate and age), your app groups and daily limits, your focus-hours schedule, and your usage counters, streaks, and daily recaps. This information is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Screen Time data

Vault is built on Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity), which are designed so that apps like Vault cannot see what you do on your phone:

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us no personal information about you as a subscriber. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Notifications

Vault's reminders and recaps are local notifications, scheduled and delivered on your device. No push-notification service is involved.

What we do not do

Children

Vault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone (of any age, since we collect no information at all).

Changes

If Vault's privacy practices ever change, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships. Given the design of the app, we do not expect them to.
